High five: Buzkashi, chessboxing and more crazy cousins of familiar sports

In much the same way that the snoring beagle at the foot of your bed carries the same DNA as the timber wolf that would have it for a snack, modern sports have weird, sometimes terrifying, cousins as well. While pads, gloves and concepts like 'safety' and 'rules' have today turned sport into a safe Sunday watch with the family, dig just a little and you'd come across their rather R-rated cousins as well.
